About the Rider: Becky Turner

Becky TurnerRev. Rebecca K. Turner has been Executive Director of the Missouri Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice since 2001.  The MORCRC program areas (Clergy for Choice, Public Policy, Community Education, and Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom) work together to mobilize religious communities in Missouri to support and defend reproductive freedom in the Missouri legislature and the public arena.

A native of Richmond, Missouri, Turner is a minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  Her work has been featured in Time Magazine, on PBS "Religion and Ethics Newsweekly", on CNN "Anderson Cooper 360", in the documentary "Beyond the Politics of Life and Choice", and in newspaper and web stories around the United States.

Turner has been a cycling enthusiast for 10 years.  She rides a 27-speed Mercier and enjoys commuting between her home in University City and her office in the Central West End.  Weekends usually find Turner exploring the many neighborhoods of St. Louis on her bike.  A member of Trailnet and REI, she has participated in local rides with the Bicycle Fun Club and EZRiders, and has included cycling in visits to such diverse places as Door County, WI, San Francisco, CA, Zion National Park, UT, the San Juan Islands, WA, and Cozumel, Mexico.

Turner enjoys travel, whether weekend or international, and always plans cycling, hiking, swimming, and kayaking into her activities.
